We are contracted with the Office of Australian War Graves, which is part of the Australian Department of Veterans’ Affairs, to undertake the cleaning and restoration of four graves belonging to Australian Servicemen who were awarded the Victoria Cross and are buried in non-CWGC graves.
We have also been asked to provide memorial plaques to two Australian VC holders that have been cremated and had their ashes scattered in the UK. The work is being funded by the Office of Australian War Graves.
Work will commence on these projects soon and our progress will be shown here.
We are extremely proud and honoured to be asked to undertake this work on behalf of the Australian people and we will ensure that the memorials are befitting of members of The Valorous Few ‘The Deeds of Valour of these six men will live for evermore, now, so will their resting places be cared for forever more’ – Keith Payne VC,OAM
Whilst this work is funded by the Australian Government we welcome any donations made to the Victoria Cross Trust for our ongoing work.
