The Victoria Cross Trust is delighted to welcome Rusty Firmin as a new patron of the Trust. Rusty is best known as the SAS Blue Team - back door Assault Team Leader during the 1980 Iranian Embassy Siege. This event has been the subject of books and films in the recent past.
Rusty says, “I am pleased to become a patron of the Victoria Cross Trust. The aims and objectives of the Trust greatly interests me personally. Times are challenging, but passion by everyone concerned will see us through. I Look forward to working with you all; the challenge is there in front of us.”
Rusty has worked tirelessly to help veterans in the past. As a veteran based organisation, we are honoured that Rusty has stepped up to become a patron. As he says, times are hard, and his support is invaluable.
