The Victoria Cross Trust has this year recognised the sacrifice remembered on the war memorials of eighteen communities. As local as Sprotbrough in the Doncaster area to Calbourne in the Isle of Wight, the Trust set about restoring these memorials as part of their recent schedule of work. More are planned for 2026 once planning permission is finalsied.
