Leeds Tykes rugby union club are to support the charity at the crucial fixture with Sheffield on 15th February. This is especially poignant coinciding with the Six Nations. 133 international players were killed in WW1 and a new memorial to their sacrifice can be seen at Fromelles. This included four members of England’s Five Nations-winning scrum from 1914. One of them, Ronnie Poulton-Palmer, was posthumously awarded the Victoria Cross.
We are extremely appreciative of the support and more about this can be viewed by clicking the link below to the Tykes’s webpage.
